Are you an experienced Social Worker ready to step up or continue as a Senior Practitioner? Leicestershire County Council is looking for a passionate and skilled professional to join their Family Help Team in Hinckley.

This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with CIN, CP, LAC, and court work experience who are ready to take on a leadership role in delivering impactful support to children and families.


What you'll be doing:

  • Supervising and supporting less experienced social workers

  • Leading complex cases and chairing case reviews, core groups, and strategy meetings

  • Assessing and improving the quality of practice across the team

  • Providing expert input into policies, training, and development

  • Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners

  • Modelling good practice and promoting team well-being


What we're looking for:

  • Strong background in Child in Need, Child Protection, Looked After Children, and court work

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills

  • Proven ability to manage complex caseloads

  • A passion for developing others and improving practice

  • SWE registration and right to work in the UK
