We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Hinckley Family Help team in Leicestershire. As a key member of our Qualified Social Work field, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support and intervention to families in need.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Manage a complex caseload of families, conducting assessments and implementing care plans
  • Provide expert guidance and support to junior team members, offering supervision and training as required
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies and stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to family support
  • Attend case conferences and court hearings, representing the best interests of the families under your care
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery through feedback and participation in team meetings

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a statutory social work setting
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice guidelines in child protection and family support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and professionals
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions in challenging situations
