Children's SW - Safeguarding Team - Northamptonshire
We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Northamptonshire. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and young people in the local community.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Undertake assessments of children and families to identify risks and develop appropriate safeguarding plans.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals to coordinate support and interventions for vulnerable children.
- Provide direct support and guidance to children and families, advocating for their needs and rights.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards.
- Participate in case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings to contribute to decision-making and planning.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrated experience in working within children's services, with a focus on safeguarding and child protection.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make evidence-based decisions in complex situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, demonstrating resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
