Durham - Senior Social Worker - Connected Carers Social Worker

Key responsibilities in this position include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of connected carers and their suitability to provide care.
- Developing and implementing support plans tailored to the needs of children and their carers.
- Providing ongoing supervision and support to connected carers, ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including health, education, and other social services, to coordinate care and support.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with local authority policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Significant experience in child protection and working with looked-after children.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to building effective relationships.
