We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Assessment & Safeguarding team in Darlington. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals and families within our community. As a Senior Social Worker, you will lead assessments, develop and implement safeguarding plans, and provide guidance to junior staff while maintaining high standards of practice in accordance with legislation and best practices.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing safeguarding plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in social work, with a focus on assessment and safeguarding.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment.
