Cheshire East is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Integrated Front Door Team. This pivotal role involves assessing and responding to the needs of children and families in our community. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable individuals while working collaboratively with various agencies and stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with families and other professionals.
- Providing advice and support to families to promote positive outcomes.
- Maintaining accurate case records and documentation in line with statutory requirements.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding processes.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrated experience in child protection and safeguarding.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
