We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Social Worker - Duty & Assessment Team to join a well-established Children's Services team in Bradford.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled social care professional to join a supportive local authority and make a positive impact on the lives of children and families.

About the Role

As a Senior Social Worker within the Duty & Assessment Team, you will be responsible for managing complex cases, completing high-quality assessments, and ensuring children and families receive effective support in line with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of children and families, ensuring effective assessment and intervention.
  • Complete timely and comprehensive assessments to identify children's needs.
  • Undertake safeguarding enquiries and support child protection processes.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Support good practice standards within the team.

Requirements

  • Social Work England registration.
  • Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services.
  • Experience working within a Duty & Assessment team is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection procedures, and statutory frameworks.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage complex cases effectively.
