Peterborough - QSW - Assessment Team
Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and Social Worker to lead their Assessment team in Sand Martin House with Peterborough City Council.
Job Title: Qualified Social Worker
Location: Sand Martin House, PE2 8TY
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days in the office
Pay Rate: £39 per hour
Role Overview:
As a Social Worker in the Assessment Team, you will respond to referrals where there are concerns about a child's safety or wellbeing. Your primary responsibility is to investigate concerns, assess risks and protective factors within the family, and determine the most appropriate course of action. This includes conducting home visits, engaging directly with children and families, and ensuring that the child's voice is central to all assessments and decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out Section 17 Single Assessments and Section 47 Enquiries
- Participate in Initial Child Protection Conferences and Child in Need meetings
- Prepare Section 7 reports for private law proceedings where required
- Work on a three-week duty rota, supporting new referrals when on duty
- Collaborate with Advice and Information Officers, Children's Social Care Practitioners, and business support staff to streamline casework and administration
Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
* Social Work England Registration
* Driving license and access to own vehicle
