Pay Rate: £33 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: Until 31/03/2027

Role Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Agency Family Court Adviser (FCA) to join CAFCASS within a WAFH arrangement, covering both Public Law and Private Law proceedings.
This is a long-term opportunity supporting vulnerable children and families through court proceedings, providing high-quality assessments, safeguarding analysis, and clear recommendations to the Family Court.
You will be responsible for managing a complex caseload, ensuring timely and robust written work, and working closely with multi-agency partners to achieve the best outcomes for children.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake safeguarding enquiries and court-directed assessments
- Prepare high-quality court reports within required timescales
- Manage a complex caseload across Public and Private Law
- Attend court hearings and provide professional recommendations
- Work collaboratively with local authorities, legal professionals, and partner agencies
- Ensure children's voices are central to all assessments and decisions
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years post-qualified experience within a UK Local Authority
- SWE registration (Social Work England)
- Proven experience within Children's Social Care (Court work desirable)
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
- Strong report writing and analytical skills
- Ability to manage complex safeguarding cases independently
