Social Worker - Young People's Safeguarding

£39 per hour (Umbrella)
Hybrid Working | 2-3 Days Office Based
Peterborough City Council is looking for an experienced Social Worker to join their Young People's Safeguarding Team on a locum basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced safeguarding service supporting vulnerable young people and families, with a strong focus on exploitation work.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing cases across CIN (Child in Need), CP (Child Protection), and CIC (Children in Care)
- Undertaking direct work with young people and their families
- Completing safeguarding assessments and interventions
- Supporting vulnerable young people at risk of exploitation
- Working collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people
Essential Requirements
- Must have experience working within exploitation services
- Minimum 3+ years PQE within a Local Authority in England
- SWE Registration
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong safeguarding and statutory social work experience
Location
Sand Martin House, Bittern Way, Peterborough
Hybrid working available with 2-3 days in the office
