Eden Brown Synergy are currently recruiting for a Paediatric Occupational Therapist - Specialist Practitioner (Band 6) to join a well-established service based at The Moor Lane Centre in Chessington

This role is based within a paediatric occupational therapy service funded by the NHS and delivered in partnership with the local authority. The service supports children and young people aged 0-18 with significant disabilities and complex health needs.

You will work as an autonomous practitioner across a range of settings including clinics, homes, mainstream schools, and special schools.

Location: Moor Lane Centre, Chessington, KT9 2AA
Pay Rate: £44.75 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a specialist caseload of children and young people with complex needs
  • Deliver high-quality, outcome-focused occupational therapy interventions
  • Support children with functional difficulties in:
    • Self-care and daily living skills
    • School-based activities (e.g. use of tools and equipment)
    • Mobility and posture
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT)
  • Contribute to EHCP assessments, reports, and reviews
  • Provide specialist advice to families, carers, and professionals

About the Service

The Paediatric Occupational Therapy Service is based at the Moor Lane Centre in Chessington and is NHS-funded. It provides coordinated support for children with physical and developmental conditions that impact their independence and daily functioning.

Requirements

  • Diploma or BSc in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience working within paediatric occupational therapy
  • Experience with complex needs and multidisciplinary working
  • Strong report writing skills (including EHCPs)
