Overview:
Musgrove Park Hospital is seeking a Band 7 Cardiac Physiologist to join their dynamic cardiology team. This is a short-term contract ideal for an experienced clinician looking to contribute to high-quality patient diagnostics and care within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform a range of advanced cardiac investigations, including:

Transthoracic echocardiograms (TTEs)

Ambulatory ECG and blood pressure monitoring

Pacemaker follow-up and device clinics

Exercise tolerance testing

Provide specialist interpretation and reporting of diagnostic results.

Work autonomously while collaborating closely with consultant cardiologists and nursing staff.

Ensure all patient data and records are completed accurately and in line with departmental standards.

Support service delivery by contributing to clinical audits and service improvement initiatives.

Essential Requirements:
BSc Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or equivalent qualification.

RCCP/HCPC registration or equivalent.

Significant post-qualification experience in a cardiac physiology role.

Competent in performing and interpreting advanced cardiac diagnostics.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable:
NHS experience at Band 6 or Band 7 level.

Familiarity with echo reporting software and hospital systems.

Willingness to travel or work flexibly to meet patient needs.
