We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team in Suffolk. This office-based position offers an attractive rate of £42.50 per hour (umbrella). As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding vulnerable children and families, ensuring that their needs are met through effective assessment, intervention, and support.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in need of support.
- Collaborating with partner agencies to develop and implement safeguarding plans.
- Providing supervision and guidance to junior social workers and support staff.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Participating in strategy meetings and court proceedings as necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
