An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Advance Practitioner to join a busy and supportive Locality Team in Leeds.

About the Role

As an Advance Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting high-quality social work practice while managing a complex caseload. You will provide guidance and mentoring to social workers, contribute to decision-making, and ensure that children and families receive effective and timely interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex Child in Need, Child Protection, and Public Law cases
  • Undertake assessments and develop effective care and support plans
  • Provide practice leadership, coaching, and support to social workers
  • Contribute to strategy meetings, case discussions, and court proceedings
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard and promote the welfare of children
  • Ensure all case recording and reports are completed to a high standard

Requirements

  • Social Work England registration
  • Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and court processes
  • Experience supporting, mentoring, or supervising social workers
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skills
