Rochdale - QSW - Duty and Assessment Team
Rochdale Council is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Social Worker to join their Duty and Assessment Team.
Location :- Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale, OL16 1XU
Pay rate :- £35.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Key Responsibilities: -
- Undertaking Initial Assessments
- Undertaking Core Assessments
- Undertaking Child Protection Enquiries
- Undertaking Pre-Birth Assessments
- Undertaking assessments using the Common Assessment Framework
- Undertaking Risk Assessments
- Undertaking Human Rights Assessments
- Undertaking Age Assessments
- Providing Section 17 support to families and children in need
- Carrying out home visits for monitoring purposes/ to promote the welfare of and to safeguard the children
- Liaising/ Working close with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children/ young people's needs
- Producing Initial Child Protection Conference reports
- Convening and chairing Core Group Meetings
- Initiating and implementing Child Protection Plans
- Initiating Care Proceedings
- Completion of Care Proceedings
- Applying for and obtaining Emergency Protection Orders
- Preparing and presenting case conference reports
- Applying for and obtaining Emergency Protection Orders
- Preparing and presenting case conference reports
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
