Surrey - QSW - Family Safeguarding Team (MAT COVER)
Join our dedicated Family Safeguarding Team in Surrey as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) on a maternity cover basis. We are looking for a passionate and committed individual to support vulnerable families, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting positive outcomes for children. In this role, you will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to assess and manage complex cases, providing high-quality interventions and support to families in need.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
- Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in partnership with families and other professionals.
- Managing a caseload effectively, ensuring timely interventions and adherence to safeguarding policies.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with local authority standards.
- Participating in team meetings, supervision, and training to enhance professional development.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England (SWE).
- Experience in child protection and safeguarding practices.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with families and professionals.
