Female Mental Health Nurse (RMN) - CAMHS Inpatient Service

Salary: £37,500 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Shift Pattern: 3 days/nights one week, 4 days/nights the next (12-hour shifts)

Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join a well-established CAMHS inpatient service supporting young people aged 13-18 with a range of complex mental health needs.

This is an ideal role for a nurse who has completed their preceptorship and is looking to develop within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment focused on recovery, safety, and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to young people
Undertake assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team (MDT)
Monitor, record, and report changes in service users' conditions
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records
Provide mentorship and support to junior staff and colleagues
Promote a safe, therapeutic, and structured environment
Service User Group

You will be working within a 12-bed CAMHS inpatient unit, supporting young people presenting with:

Mood disorders
Acute psychosis
Eating disorders
Neurodevelopmental conditions (including Autism and mild Learning Disabilities)
Complex mental health needs
Requirements
Qualified RMN (Registered Mental Health Nurse)
Active NMC registration
Completion of preceptorship
Experience within UK mental health settings (NHS or private)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Compassionate, motivated, and flexible approach to care
