Social Worker - Locality Team

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Social Worker to join the Locality Team at Lincolnshire County Council on an ongoing agency contract.

About the Role

As a Social Worker within the Locality Team, you will work with children, young people, and families to safeguard and promote their welfare. You will manage a varied caseload, undertake assessments, develop care plans, and work collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of children and families.
  • Complete Child and Family Assessments, Child Protection enquiries, and Children in Need work.
  • Develop and review care and support plans.
  • Prepare reports and attend court proceedings where required.
  • Build effective relationships with children, families, and multi-agency professionals.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with statutory guidance and safeguarding legislation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records.

Requirements

  • Social Work England registration.
  • Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and court processes.
  • Experience managing complex caseloads within a Locality or Children's Team.
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
