Adults Social Worker - Safeguarding

£28.40 per hour
Worcestershire Council is seeking an experienced Adults Social Worker - Safeguarding to join the team. This role requires a practitioner with extensive safeguarding knowledge who can pick up complex cases immediately and work autonomously.
You will work with adults and carers to promote wellbeing, independence, and safety, using a strengths-based approach and completing statutory social work duties in line with relevant legislation.
Key requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration
Extensive experience in Adult Safeguarding
Strong knowledge of Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Mental Health Act 1983
Ability to undertake Section 42 safeguarding enquiries
Able to manage complex caseloads and work independently from day one
Key responsibilities include:
Safeguarding adults at risk and completing Section 42 enquiries
Completing Care Act assessments, support planning, and reviews
Working in partnership with multi-agency professionals
Applying strength-based practice to promote independence
Contributing to best interest decisions and legal processes where required
Maintaining accurate case records and statutory compliance
Participating in duty cover and team responsibilities
Supporting professional practice and contributing to reflective supervision and development
