Worcestershire - Team Manager - Safeguarding Team
Worcestershire Council is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Team Manager to join their Safeguarding Team.
Location:- County Hall, Worcester, WR5 2NP
Pay rate :- £41.42 Per hour (Umbrella)
Key Responsibilities:-
Leadership and Management
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and support social work teams in a busy safeguarding environment
- Strong decision making skills with the confidence to manage risk and prioritise effectively
- Ability to provide reflective supervision that promotes professional development
Safeguarding Expertise
- In depth knowledge of statutory safeguarding responsibilities, child protection procedures and relevant legislation
- Skilled in managing complex cases and guiding practitioners through challenging situations
- Understanding of early help, multi-agency working and child centred practice
Communication and Collaboration
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop positive working relationships with partner agencies, including police, schools, health services and voluntary organisations
- Skilled in chairing meetings, including strategy discussions and multi-agency reviews Quality and Performance
- Experience of monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with policy and improving practice standards
- Ability to analyse information, identify patterns of concern and implement service improvements
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing demands

Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
