Contract: Locum (Maternity Cover)
Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an Experienced Adult Social Worker to join a dedicated Adult Social Care team in Bedford on a locum basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive team, providing vital cover during a maternity leave period. The service is experiencing high demand and is looking for an experienced practitioner who can confidently manage complex cases while ensuring statutory duties are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing duty and safeguarding enquiries.
- Working with complex and high-risk adult social care cases.
- Undertaking Court of Protection work and other formal proceedings.
- Supporting Preparing for Adulthood cases and wider statutory responsibilities.
- Reviewing packages of care.
- Completing Continuing Healthcare (CHC) checklists and attending Decision Support Tool (DST) meetings.
- Supporting the team in managing demand and reducing waiting lists.
- Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with statutory timescales.
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
- Previous experience within Adult Social Care.
- Strong knowledge of the Care Act, safeguarding legislation, Court of Protection processes, and Continuing Healthcare.
- Ability to manage a varied and complex caseload independently.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and report-writing skills.
