Walsall - SP - CIC Team
Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Practitioner to join the Children in Care (CIC) Team at Walsall Council.
Pay Rate: £33.30 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: WS1 1TP, Walsall
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated Children in Care Team, supporting looked after children and young people to achieve positive and lasting outcomes. You will manage a complex caseload, undertake statutory responsibilities, complete high-quality assessments and care planning, and work closely with partner agencies to ensure children receive the support and stability they need.
As a Senior Practitioner, you will also provide professional guidance and mentoring to colleagues, promote best practice, and support the Team Manager in maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Key Skills Required:
* Experience within a Children in Care (CIC) / Looked After Children Team
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, permanence planning and care planning processes
* Experience managing complex cases involving looked after children and care proceedings
* Ability to provide mentoring, guidance and support to less experienced social workers
* Excellent assessment, report writing and multi-agency working skills
* Social Work England registration required
Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* Registered with Social Work England
* Previous experience within Children's Services, ideally within a Children in Care Team
* Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and children's social care practice
