Walsall Council is looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Practitioner to join their Children in Care Team.

Location: Civic Centre, Walsall, WS1 1TP

Payrate: -up to £33.30 per hour (Umbrella)

Working Patterns: - Hybrid (3 days office-based / 2 days working from home)

Key Responsibilities: -

  • Hold and manage a caseload of children and young people
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and carers
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Contribute to care planning, permanency planning, and reunification work
  • Apply restorative and relationship-based practice principles.
  • Ensure high-quality, timely assessments and interventions.

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle
