About the Role:
Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Social Worker to join the Children in Care Team at Derbyshire County Council. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to support vulnerable children and families within a well-supported and dynamic team.
As a Social Worker in the Children in Care Team, you will be responsible for managing and supporting children in care, conducting assessments, and ensuring the well-being of children placed in care. You will be working collaboratively with other professionals, maintaining high standards of social work practice, and ensuring children's needs are met effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children in care, ensuring all cases are handled in a timely and effective manner.
- Complete comprehensive assessments and develop child-focused care plans.
- Liaise with external agencies and professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, reviews, and court hearings as necessary.
- Provide advice, guidance, and support to children, families, and carers.
- Ensure compliance with all safeguarding and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker with proven experience in children's services, ideally within a Children in Care team.
- Strong knowledge of Children's Law and safeguarding procedures.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A full UK driving license (desirable but not essential).
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration.
- Driving license and access to own vehicle.
