Qualified Social Worker (QSW) - Children in Care and Care Leavers with Staffordshire Council

Location: Floor 1, Stafford Social Services Office, ST16 3LX
Pay Rate: £33.50/hour
Schedule: Hybrid (Office and Remote working)

Staffordshire Council is seeking a dedicated and skilled Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join the Children in Care and Care Leavers team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people in care, providing them with the support and guidance they need to transition successfully into adulthood.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete comprehensive assessments for children in care and care leavers.
  • Develop and implement care plans, ensuring outcomes are met in line with statutory requirements.
  • Provide regular support and intervention to children and young people in care and their families.
  • Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings and reviews.
  • Undertake court reports and representations as required.
  • Ensure safeguarding and child protection policies are followed.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Social Work Degree or equivalent.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Experience working within children in care or care leavers services.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
