Join our dedicated Family and Friend Assessment Team within the Fostering Service in Croydon as a Qualified Social Worker. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children placed in foster care with relatives and family friends. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of family and friends who wish to foster children.
  • Preparing detailed reports and recommendations for fostering placements.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in child protection and fostering assessments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
