Service: Community Occupational Therapy Team & Moving and Handling Service
Position: Occupational Therapist (2 roles available)

The Community Occupational Therapy Team and Moving and Handling Service are seeking to recruit two experienced Occupational Therapists to support a busy and dynamic workload.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a large, supportive, and friendly multidisciplinary team, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality services within the community.

You will:

  • Manage your own caseload effectively within an Adult Social Care setting
  • Undertake duty work as part of the wider team
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support individuals with a range of needs
  • Provide specialist assessment and intervention focusing on equipment provision, adaptations, and moving and handling

You will receive regular supervision and professional support from an Advanced Practitioner, enabling your continued professional development.

Key Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Have experience working within Community Occupational Therapy
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of equipment provision and housing adaptations
  • Be confident and proficient in moving and handling practices
  • Possess a good working knowledge of the Care Act 2024
  • Have experience supporting adults with physical disabilities and frailty
  • Show a clear understanding of adaptation planning within Adult Social Care
  • Be able to work both independently and as part of a wider team
