Pay Rate: £40.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: WN1 1NJ, Wigan
Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Advanced Practitioner to join the Duty Team at Wigan Council.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy frontline Duty Team, where you will play a key role in safeguarding children and supporting families through timely assessments, effective decision-making and high-quality interventions. You will manage complex cases, provide professional guidance to colleagues and contribute to the delivery of outstanding statutory services.
As an Advanced Practitioner, you will support the Team Manager by promoting best practice, mentoring less experienced social workers and ensuring children receive timely and appropriate interventions.
Key Skills Required:
- Experience within Duty, Assessment, MASH, Child Protection or Safeguarding Teams
- Strong knowledge of statutory children's social care legislation and safeguarding practice
- Experience undertaking complex assessments and managing high-risk cases
- Ability to provide practice leadership, mentoring and support to colleagues
- Excellent assessment, analytical, communication and report writing skills
- Strong multi-agency working experience
- Social Work England registration required
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- Registered with Social Work England
- Previous experience within Children's Services
- Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and children's social care practice
