The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Child Protection Team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing the needs of children and families, conducting comprehensive risk assessments and developing effective intervention plans.
  • Working closely with children, parents, and other professionals to deliver tailored support services.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local and national guidelines.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding strategies.
  • Providing support and guidance to less experienced team members and contributing to team development.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Diploma in Social Work, Degree in Social Work).
  • Current registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrable experience in child protection and safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a complex caseload effectively.
