The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Adult's SW - Learning Disabilities/Assessment Team. As a Qualified Social Worker in our team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals with learning disabilities to determine their needs and eligibility for services.
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans in collaboration with service users, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to service users and their families, ensuring they are empowered to make informed choices.
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including health professionals, to promote integrated care and support.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local authority policies and procedures.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, CQSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in adult social work, particularly with learning disabilities.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to formulate effective care plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to person-centered practice.
