Senior Social Worker - Assessment Safeguarding Services

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Assessment Safeguarding Services team in the field of Qualified Social Work. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in assessing and safeguarding vulnerable children and families, ensuring their well-being and protection.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine safeguarding needs.
  • Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to support positive outcomes.
  • Provide expert guidance and supervision to junior social work staff, offering support and mentorship.
  • Participate in case conferences, court proceedings, and reviews to advocate for the best interests of children.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of services through reflective practice and adherence to regulatory standards.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification and registration.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting assessments and interventions within a safeguarding context.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to work autonomously, make sound decisions under pressure, and manage complex caseloads efficiently.
