We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Wokingham. In this role, you will play a crucial part in protecting and promoting the welfare of children and young people in need. Your primary focus will be on assessing and managing risks to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Conducting assessments and investigations into child protection concerns
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals
- Providing direct support and intervention to children and families in crisis
- Attending case conferences, court hearings, and multi-agency meetings
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of services through reflective practice and learning
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification
- Registered with Social Work England
- Demonstrated experience in child protection and safeguarding work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases
