Wokingham - Adults Safeguarding Practitioner
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Adults Safeguarding Practitioner to join our team in Wokingham. As a key member of our Qualified Social Work department, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding vulnerable adults and promoting their well-being.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Conducting thorough assessments to identify safeguarding concerns and risks to adults in need of support.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with service users, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Providing advocacy and support to empower adults at risk to make informed decisions about their care and protection.
- Participating in case conferences, reviews, and safeguarding meetings to ensure effective interventions and outcomes.
- Keeping accurate records, writing reports, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislation and best practices in safeguarding.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrated experience in working with vulnerable adults, conducting assessments, and implementing safeguarding interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with service users and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a commitment to promoting independence and dignity for adults at risk.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to adult safeguarding and social care.
