We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Tameside - CP Chair to join our team in the field of Qualified Social Work. As a Tameside - CP Chair, you will play a crucial role in overseeing child protection conferences and ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families in the Tameside area.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
- Chairing child protection conferences and reviews in accordance with statutory guidelines and procedures.
- Leading multi-agency discussions to assess risks, develop protection plans, and make decisions in the best interest of the child.
- Providing expert guidance and support to social work professionals, agencies, and families involved in child protection cases.
- Documenting and maintaining accurate records of conference discussions, decisions, and outcomes.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in child protection and safeguarding.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrated ability to chair complex meetings and facilitate constructive discussions among diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
Additional requirements:
- Availability to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate conference schedules.
- Experience working within the Tameside area or familiarity with local safeguarding procedures is desirable.
