Independent Reviewing Officer / Child Protection Chair

Pay: Approximately £45 per hour (awaiting confirmation, some negotiation possible)
Contract: Temporary
Working Pattern: Hybrid - Up to 2 days per week in office

Eden Brown Synergy is exclusively recruiting experienced Independent Reviewing Officers (IROs) / Child Protection Chairs for a London Borough of Harrow.

Role Overview:
We are seeking skilled and committed IRO/CP Chairs to oversee and chair child protection conferences and reviews, ensuring that children and young people are safeguarded and their needs met in line with statutory guidance.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Independent Reviewing Officer or Child Protection Chair is essential.
  • Ideally, experience working with LADO (Local Authority Designated Officer) cases, although this is not a strict requirement.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection legislation, processes, and best practice.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency framework.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
