Social Worker - Children's Leaving Care Team - Cheshire West

We are recruiting social workers to join the Leaving Care Team (Supporting Independence Team) which sits in our permanency hub, working with our looked after children across all our localities within Cheshire West and Chester.

The role will involve working with young people aged 15 to 25 who are looked after by the local authority.

The candidate will hold responsibility for a number of looked after children supporting them through the care planning and pathway planning process to develop their independent living skills. With this in mind, we are looking for candidates with experience of assessment and pathway planning with looked after children and working with teenagers and young adults.


Knowledge of Dols and unaccompanied asylum seeking children would be advantageous but not essential.

We offer excellent supervision and manageable caseloads, working alongside stable teams of experienced social workers and permanent established Team Managers. Free parking in all our localities, access to all in house training and development to support CPD.

It would be beneficial if the candidate lives within a reasonable distance from Cheshire West, as whilst we do work in a hybrid style, there is an expectation of regular working from our office bases.

Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
* Social Work England Registration
* Driving license and access to own vehicle
