About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join the Adults Safeguarding Team (MASH) at Derby City Council. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role working within a multi-agency environment to safeguard vulnerable adults.

You will be based in the office within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), working closely alongside Police, Children's Services, Probation, and Health professionals, with occasional opportunities to work from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake safeguarding adult enquiries in line with statutory duties
  • Apply Care Act criteria appropriately in all cases
  • Triage referrals and carry out risk assessments
  • Make direct contact with adults and their representatives
  • Develop strengths-based safety plans in collaboration with individuals and partner agencies
  • Work effectively within a multi-agency safeguarding environment

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration
  • Experience within adult safeguarding
  • Strong knowledge of the Care Act and safeguarding procedures
  • Excellent assessment, risk management, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-agency setting
