Experienced Social Worker required for work within Family Safeguarding Team in the Somerset area. As a specialist social worker based in Bridgwater the contracted 37 hours a week, long term contracts based in the South West. Excellent rates of pay at £38ph. Flexible hybrid working.

We are currently seeking Social Workers to join a busy Family Safeguarding Team in Bridgwater. Social Workers within the team need to be competent in writing clear reports to strict deadlines and confident in presenting these within a variety of venues - Court, CLA reviews, CP reviews, resource meetings etc.

Successful applicants must be experienced in the work detailed above , and have a sound working knowledge of relevant childcare legislation, including the Care Planning Regs 2010. The work within the team is of a complex nature, either high end children in need, or child protection. Cases also progress to care proceedings where appropriate hence the need for knowledge around Court work and the statutory requirements for children who are looked after.
