Wakefield - Sr. QSW - IFD Team - £35 p/h Umb
Eden Brown Synergy is currently looking for an experienced & dedicated Sr. Social Worker for Wakefield Council to join their Integrated Front Door Team.
Payrate: £35 p/h Umb
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for all concerns relating to child safety and welfare.
- Receive, screen, and assess referrals to identify levels of risk and unmet needs.
- Work collaboratively within a multi-agency team (e.g., social care, police, health, education) to share information and make informed decisions.
- Facilitate early identification of potential harm, safeguarding issues, or additional support needs.
- Make timely, proportionate decisions on appropriate interventions to protect children and vulnerable individuals.
- Coordinate responses across agencies to ensure effective safeguarding and support plans are implemented.
- Ensure children and families are directed to the correct level of service based on assessed need.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in line with safeguarding and data protection requirements.
- Manage a high-volume, fast-paced workload, responding quickly to urgent and complex cases.
- Contribute to safeguarding strategies that promote early help and prevent escalation of risk.
- Escalate cases where necessary in line with safeguarding procedures and thresholds.
- Engage professionally with families, carers, and partner agencies to support positive outcomes.
