About the Role

As an Advanced Practitioner, you will work alongside frontline social workers, providing professional support, guidance, and expertise while managing complex cases. You will play a key role in promoting best practice and ensuring children and families receive effective, outcome-focused interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a complex caseload of children and families.

  • Undertaking assessments, risk assessments, and safeguarding interventions.

  • Supporting social workers with advice, guidance, and professional development.

  • Ensuring high standards of social work practice and decision-making.

  • Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners.

  • Contributing to Child Protection, Children in Need, and court-related processes.

  • Supporting positive outcomes for children and young people through effective intervention and planning.

Requirements

  • Social Work England registration.

  • Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services.

  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and statutory social work processes.

  • Experience working at an Advanced Practitioner or Senior Social Worker level.

  • Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage complex cases and provide professional guidance.
