Housing Surveying Assistant -Darlington
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To work with Mainteance surveyors to ensure all Void inspections are recorded accurately and the relevant job tickets are raised within the relevant KPI's, ensure all relevant documents are added to the job ticket.
2. Deal with and process low level repair requests, raising orders, arranging appointments directly with tenants.

3. To provide housing related advice and assistance, general administration and answer enquiries for Asset team ensuring a high standard of customer care is delivered to members of the public, customers, internal departments and outside agencies.
4. Ensure that job tickets and appointments are made so that all repairs raised by the team are completed, by arranging appointments by telephone, and where required issuing reminder letter's.
5. To work with Surveyors to ensure the planning and management of the Asset Management systems, ensuring the application is set up, tested, upgraded and operates to meet business needs.
6. Complete the appropriate action's required following fire risk assessment survey's by carrying out visits to communal blocks of apartments, ensuring that advisory information is followed by issuing letters and carrying out additional visits.
7. To liaise and work with internal and external partners such as Social Services, StreetScene, the Police and suppliers.
8. Update computer and manual records and manage the team and officer's electronic diaries.
9. To ensure all data is for all projects, is accurately added to full name(MRI) and all relevant links are set up with asset for all capital projects.
10. Undertake administration duties relevant to the service as required.
11. To assist Surveyors with administration duties, including producing standard letters and forms, where necessary produce own letters and emails and publicity information.

13. To be an active member of the team, embracing change and new services.
14. To be involved in Council projects as and when required such as changing processes and procedures, service improvement or undertaking customer satisfaction surveys.
15. To actively promote and signpost customers to self-serve where possible to provide assistance to vulnerable customers who are unable to self-serve through digital channels.
16. Ensure that you work in line with all the Council's policies and procedures and ensure that you are aware of your obligations under these.
17. Behave according to the Employees' Code of Conduct and ensure that you are aware of your obligations and responsibilities re conflicts of interest, gifts, hospitality and other matters covered by the Code.
18. Carry out your role in line with the Council's Equality agenda.
