Children's SW - CWD Team - Achieving for Children
Achieving for Children is seeking a passionate and dedicated Children’s Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team. This role is vital in providing support and safeguarding to children with disabilities and their families, ensuring they receive the services and interventions they need to thrive. As a Children’s Social Worker, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals to promote the wellbeing and development of children in our care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and developing support plans tailored to the individual needs of children and families.
- Providing direct support and intervention to children and families, ensuring their voices are heard.
- Working closely with multi-agency teams to coordinate services and resources effectively.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local authority policies.
- Participating in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field.
The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work) and current registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children and families, particularly those with disabilities.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to working with families.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks, including the Children Act and safeguarding policies.
