Locum Social Worker - Community DoLS
Location: East Sussex
Rate: £38 per hour

We are currently seeking an experienced and confident Locum Social Worker to join a dedicated team in East Sussex, focusing exclusively on Community Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) work.

This is a specialist role requiring a strong working knowledge of DoLS legislation and the ability to manage complex cases with autonomy. You will be responsible for completing high-quality assessments, preparing detailed reports, and ensuring all legal processes are followed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake Community DoLS assessments in line with current legislation and best practice
Complete all associated legal documentation to a high standard
Work closely with legal teams, health professionals, and other stakeholders
Manage a caseload independently, ensuring timely and compliant practice
Provide clear, defensible decision-making in complex situations

Requirements:

Qualified Social Worker with current registration
Significant experience completing Community DoLS assessments
Strong understanding of relevant legislation and legal frameworks
Confidence in managing complex legal work and court-related processes
Excellent report writing and analytical skills
