Wirral Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Adult Safeguarding Team.
Role Overview
Lead and coordinate adult safeguarding enquiries under the Care Act 2014
Manage a complex caseload using professional judgment and autonomy
Conduct strengths-based assessments and develop outcome-focused support plans
Complete Mental Capacity Assessments and Making Safeguarding Personal conversations
Work collaboratively with health partners, police, care providers, and voluntary organisations
Apply legislation, policy, and best practice to protect adults from harm
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
Strong experience in adult safeguarding or statutory adult services
Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills
Confident in managing risk and making evidence-based decisions
Ability to work flexibly and as part of a supportive team
