Housing Officer - Bournemouth

We are looking to recruit a full time motivated individual to join our Housing Officer team in a busy housing office based from the Kinson Hub. Please note this role benefits from agile working. However, the successful applicant must be able to respond quickly as and when required to situations within the housing neighbourhood.

The team is responsible for delivering housing services across Bournemouth and you would have your own neighbourhood patch. Your duties will include dealing with anti-social behaviour, tenancy management, void management and general estate management. You will work collaboratively with other teams and agencies to provide the best service to residents.

Essential:

Previous experience of working with the public face to face in difficult situations
Previous experience of managing social housing as a housing officer
Knowledge of measures to prevent and deal with anti-social behaviour
Knowledge of the importance of safeguarding of vulnerable residents
Experience of supporting residents with complex needs
Ability to apply tact, diplomacy and awareness to a wide range of scenarios some of which may be potentially difficult
Good verbal and communication skills
Commitment to high levels of customer care
Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle .

Desirable:

Previous local government experience
Chartered Institute of Housing Qualifications
