Wrexham's Children’s Social Work - Looked After Children (LAC) Team is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with children in care, their families, and a range of professionals to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable children in our community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing the needs of children and young people in care and developing tailored care plans.
  • Conducting regular reviews and monitoring the progress of children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency partners to provide holistic support and interventions.
  • Providing guidance and support to foster carers and adoptive families to enhance the stability of placements.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with regulatory standards.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Care Wales.
  • Significant experience working with children and families, particularly those in care.
  • Strong assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
