The Role

As Team Manager, you will provide effective leadership, supervision, and support to a team of social workers and practitioners responsible for children and young people who are looked after. You will drive high-quality practice, ensure statutory responsibilities are met, and champion positive outcomes for children and families.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing and developing a high-performing LAC team.
Providing professional supervision, guidance, and support to social workers.
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Monitoring performance and quality assurance standards.
Promoting safeguarding and child-centred practice.
Working collaboratively with partner agencies and stakeholders.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:

Current Social Work England (SWE) registration - essential.
A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent).
Significant post-qualification experience within Childrens Services, particularly Looked After Children.
Previous management or supervisory experience within a social work setting.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding practices, and care planning.
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
