Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children in care.
  • Working collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency partners to ensure the best outcomes.
  • Carrying out regular reviews and monitoring of care plans to track progress and make necessary adjustments.
  • Providing guidance and support to foster carers and adoptive families.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and local policies.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation in accordance with data protection regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with looked after children and knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
