Join our dedicated team in Shropshire as a Senior Qualified Social Worker (QSW) within our Child Protection/Children in Need (CP/CIN) team. We are seeking an experienced and passionate social worker who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children and families. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, conducting assessments, and developing effective care plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children in need.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
  • Developing and implementing tailored intervention plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to families to promote positive outcomes.
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed case records in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure coordinated support for children and families.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff and students, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

To be considered for this role, you must hold a recognized social work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. You should possess substantial experience working in a child protection or children in need setting, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practices. Additionally, you will need excellent communication skills, the ability to build rapport with families, and strong analytical skills to assess complex situations effectively.
