Lead Child Practitioner (Non Case Holding) - Child Protection Team

Pay Rate: £39.00 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: CH65 0BE, Cheshire West
Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Child Practitioner (Non Case Holding) to join the Child Protection Team at Cheshire West & Chester Council.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner to provide practice leadership and professional support within a busy Child Protection Team. As a non-case holding Lead Child Practitioner, you will focus on supporting social workers, improving practice standards, providing mentoring and guidance, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for children and families.
You will work closely with Team Managers and practitioners to strengthen decision-making, promote reflective practice, and ensure statutory responsibilities are met.
Key Skills Required:
- Extensive experience within Child Protection, Safeguarding or Assessment Teams
- Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and children's social care practice
- Experience coaching, mentoring and supporting social workers
- Ability to provide practice leadership and quality assurance
- Excellent assessment, analytical and report writing skills
- Strong communication and multi-agency working abilities
- Social Work England registration required
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- Registered with Social Work England
- Previous experience within Children's Services
- Experience supporting practitioners and driving best practice
